Hever Castle - June 2001
In June the band played at Hever Castle in Kent. Most people made a day of it and took the opportunity to look around the fabulous grounds. After a mass picnic the band assembled to play to the crowds next to the moat and castle.
Band Barbeque - August 2001
The inaugural Hangleton Band barbeque was held in the garden of the Hangleton Manor pub on the bank holiday weekend. A good time was had by all, however the weather was sadly not very cooperative and decided to rain (often torrentially) all day. However in the best British tradition, the barbeque carried on regardless. Looking on the bright side though the rain probably helped prevent some very nasty friction burns on the bungy run!
Westminster Abbey - August 2001
On 23rd August the Youth Band played at Westminster Abbey in London. The day began with a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament, and was rounded off with the band playing in the College Gardens.
