Charity concert a big success!

On Saturday 15th October Hangleton put on a very special charity concert with a local choir called Brighton Voices. The concert was the idea of Rebecca Canneaux (second baritone) and her family to show thanks and to raise money for Guys and St Thomas Hospitals in London. Rebecca's niece, Summer (pictured) was born with stage 4 chronic renal failure and 3 holes in her heart. At just 2 weeks old she had open heart surgery at the Evelina Childrens Hospital at Guys and St Thomas to close the holes in her heart and will need a kidney transplant in the future. At present Summer is doing well but still has to visit the Evalina Children’s Hospital once a month.

The concert was well received by the audience who were treated to a mixture of brass band and choir music. The concert concluded with a joint performance of Mr Blue Sky and Somebody to Love.

All the money raised by the concert tickets, cake sale and a half time game was donated to the hospital charity.
