There are currently 40 members in the Hangleton Youth Band, including the learners group. The band is currently advertising for a new Musical Director, however in the meantime Matthew Pollard, the senior band MD has stepped in a caretaker capacity. Other members of the Senior Band, such as Vicky Driver, Anthony Hollick and Cees van Berkel also give up their time and energies to teach the learners and help the youngsters in the Youth Band. Youth players range from 8-year old complete beginners to 18-year old grade 8 musicians.

The Youth Band put on their own concert in the summer, and carry out several other engagements throughout the year. In past few years the Youth Band has played at the Millenium Dome, Westminster Abbey, and the Hove SCABA Band Contest.
